Gods and men
The film takes place in March 1996 in a monastery in Tibhirine, while the fanatics are the Islamites Algeria to fire and sword. I'm both in a state of grace because this film is a work light. When all fears were transcended, a beautiful scene brightens the entire film. You do not see, close up, their beautiful eyes and disarming smile of love. They accept martyrdom. They drink a glass of wine and they listen in a kind of spiritual euphoria, music du Lac Swan! Unforgettable! Shortly after, we see them walking, then gradually disappear under snow increasingly dense, under the leadership of armed soldiers. Restorative snow falls, it buried the pain of the world ...
was found in the snow, their heads cut off. Newspapers headlined "For us the Algerians, their death is a big pain." The pain became ours.
Towards the end of the film, the monks chanted a psalm, which went something like this: "It is close to his heart this difficult child, the human world" ...
