Forced To Be Barefoot

was a year ago ...

... almost to the day
with mimosas this year!
What difference ...!!!

on the Cours Mirabeau in Aix-en-Provence ...
(101 fountains in the city! Which 40 are public)
This show is VERY rare here!
photographers flocked to capture these ephemeral icicles ... Everyone was trying to find original angle, fingers numb with cold (gloves were stuck under the arm or in the mouth, the time of the photo) and it was something a little farther to another fountain, exchanging a knowing smile ...

La Fontaine de la Rotonde, at the "bottom" of the Cours Mirabeau ...
The show was all the more impressive it measures 32m in diameter and 12m height ...!!

La Fontaine de la Rotonde in the nineteenth century

Come on, I will make my scholarship! [no, do not thank me: I know that I support to improve your culture, oh dear readers!]
top of this fountain, are three statues:
* Justice, facing Aix
* Agriculture towards Marseille
* Fine Arts towards Avignon
Spec changes according to each of these cities.

And sometimes, in Aix ... we see strange things in winter!
